I was in Oban, and most of the buldings in Oban are grey, but the gardens have some fantastic shrubs and flowers. I saw these hyacinths and thought if I could put them into a background of grass which you can see in the foreground the whole would reflect the hyacinths just coming out.
The grass is made of stem stitches. On the top left hand side are the grey walls of Oban worked in double cross stitch.
